Ranking My Top 10 Favorite Pies

Recently, the delicious holiday known as Pi Day has been celebrated. Pies are some of my favorite treats in the world. With so many different types of pie, there are so many different ones to eat and enjoy. Here are my top ten favorite pies.

10. Blueberry Pie. I haven’t yet had blueberry pie, but I would love to try it one day. When I was in college, I challenged myself to eat a blueberry bagel and expand my taste buds. I ended up enjoying it. I would love to try more treats with blueberries in them, especially blueberry pie.

9. Coconut Cream Pie. My dad loves this kind of pie. He has it every single year for his birthday. They also look tasty to me, with a coconut cream filling, whipped cream, and toasted coconut shavings.

8. Pumpkin Pie. It’s tricky to go wrong with a classic fall holiday favorite! I love the idea of pumpkin pie served with whipped cream on the top and sprinkled with cinnamon-sugar.

7. Mixed Berry Pie. I can smell these kinds of pies through their photos. This is a type of pie I’d like to make from scratch. The berries I’d love to use are strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries.

6. Sugar Cream Pie. I tried this for the first time a couple of years ago for Pi Day. I thought it was absolutely delicious, especially topped with chocolate sauce. I absolutely intend on making it from scratch one day.

5. Cheesecake. I was surprised to learn that cheesecake counts as pie! It’s absolutely delicious in my opinion. My favorite kind of cheesecake is an all-chocolate cheesecake, with chocolate crust, chocolate filling, and chocolate toppings. I love chocolate treats.

4. Mississippi Mud Pie. Speaking of chocolate treats, Mississippi Mud Pie is a pie that I have yet to try myself but looks so delicious. So tasty and chocolatey! My mouth waters at the sound of it. I would love to try it one day.

3. Apple Pie. I have made apple pie by myself in the past. It was an amazing experience! The warm, cinnamon flavor of the apples pairs so well with the flaky crust. Pair it with a scoop of chilly vanilla ice cream and you have a tasty treat!

2. French Silk Pie. For as long as I can remember, French Silk Pie has been a Pi Day tradition for me. I love the creamy chocolate filling, the chocolate curls, and the whipped cream. The fact it can be made with a chocolate or regular crust makes it an extremely durable pie. I especially love the Village Inn pies. There is one pie that I like better, though.

  1. Ice Cream Pie. Ice cream pies are the best of both worlds! While I love having a scoop of ice cream with a helping of pie, having ice cream be the star of the helping of pie that I am enjoying is just so wonderful! Plus, they seem so easy to make. Prepare your crust, then put your ice cream in the crust and let it spend time in the freezer. Voilà! Easy as pie (pun absolutely intended!)!
